Samuel Brady (JD ’23), an associate attorney at Falcon Rappaport & Berkman LLP in New York, recognized the value of the [Alumni Bar Coaching] (ABC) Program and was eager to serve as a coach.
“The bar exam process is a completely unique and necessarily isolating experience,” says Samuel. “It’s a solitary climb up a mountain. I valued the insights of people who had been there before. If I could do that for others, I relished the chance.”
Read more about Samuel`s experience as an ABC Program coach and the power of alumni mentorship on page 46 of The Jurist (link in bio).

On Thursday, October 2, Wake Forest Law hosted the final round of the 2025 1L Trial Bar Competition.
This year’s mock criminal case, The State of Love Island v. Miguel Harichi, brought first-year students together to argue both sides of a fictional murder trial. After multiple rounds of competition, Ellie Stamps and Cole Hastings advanced to the final round, presenting their closing arguments before a panel of judges.
Ellie Stamps was named the 2025 Trial Bar Competition Champion.
Congratulations to all competitors who participated in this year’s competition, including the Top 16, Elite 8, Semifinalists (Ellie Howard and Daughtry Williams), and those recognized with Honorable Mentions (Ryan Downes, Lexington Freeman, Haley Huett, Peter Kane, and Mark Pipa) and Most Collegial Awards (Camila Montalvo and Juan Reyes).
Congratulations, #LegalDeacs!
