After attending a large public university for my undergraduate studies, I knew that I wanted to go to a small, private law school that would have the ability and resources to give my legal education the kind of attention it demanded; after visiting Wake I knew that it would meet those criteria.
Being from South Florida and fluent in a foreign language, I have always been interested in a career in International Law, and the numerous global opportunities at Wake have fostered this interest. I was able to study abroad in Spain with my undergraduate studies, and had the fortunate luck to live and study abroad again in Vienna in one of Wake’s three summer programs. In Vienna, I took an International Environmental Law class not only with my peers from Wake and a wonderful Wake professor, but with Viennese law students as well. Additionally, as a second year student, I am enrolled in a few of the numerous international course offerings that the law school provides, with professors who have practiced abroad in both the corporate and public interest settings.
All of these opportunities, coupled with the unique atmosphere at Wake, have made my professional goals a reality.
